  • Mirboo North Starting point for the Grand Ridge Rail Trail — 13km through temperate rainforest. Annual Italian Festa draws 25,000 people. ~35 min.
  • Koonwarra Tiny town with a remarkable Early Cretaceous fossil bed — dinosaur feathers and ancient flora. Scenic South Gippsland drive. ~25 min.
  • Foster Charming rural town and gateway to Wilsons Promontory. Markets November–April, Great Southern Rail Trail, and good dining. ~40 min.
  • Fish Creek A quirky South Gippsland gem — the iconic Fish Creek Hotel, biennial Tea Cosy Festival, and a proudly eccentric village character. ~30 min.
